Lighting & Rendering test in Unity
It's a lighting and rendering test done in Unity's latest version 5.6.2. I wanted to learn the effective and optimized way to light a scene based on its hardware constraints.
Here, I managed to light a scene using the concept of light probes, emissive materials, reflection probes and Global Illumination. I tried to bake all the lights and the GI for optimization and adjusted some render settings to achieve the desired look in the most effective way.
Tool for modular creation in Maya - Python Script
I created a tool in Maya using Python to control the workflow of creating modular/tileable environmental objects and to make the workflow faster and easier. In this case, I made a set of pillars based on the length and direction of the beam in runtime using Python script.
Explosion - Particle Effects in Unity
The idea was to create a Sci Fi themed explosion particle effect in Unity. It took me 2 hours to get the effect and then spent almost an hour setting up the environment (textures) and getting the timing right. I used a combination of particles in Unity and had to make some adjustments to the script to get to the final effect.
Window Generator in Maya - Python script
I wrote a Python script in Maya to generate and duplicate 'Window' models and assign it to the building. I scripted a UI window in Maya to duplicate the model and snap the model to the selected face.
